Imagine there is a gold rush and everyone around you wants to dig for gold. How thrilling! In no time you could become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams! For some, the 'gold dream' became true: they found gold, had their own gold mine and were able to pay others to do the work and grow rich at the same time. But the majority of gold diggers ended up broke and sick, chasing a dream and wasting their lives.
Having a closer look at this scenario we can see, that there were more than just these two groups of people involved. The third group were those, who catered to the needs of the gold diggers. People were needed for a huge variety of jobs: providing food and entertaining, medical care, road building, hunting, merchants - the list could go on and on. The percentage of wealthy people in this third group was significantly higher than among the gold diggers.
Why?If the only thing required to become rich is to hit gold, why would someone choose to work diligently to build a business, have the headache to supply goods, argue with the customers, and cope with all the difficult circumstances life can provide if you choose to become self employed? The answer is simple: luck is not a strong foundation to build upon!
Successful business people don't let their emotions run wild, switch off their brains and start digging for the big nugget. Success needs a foundation well led; a business plan to follow, the willingness to learn, money to cover the basic costs and most important of all: someone who is willing to work hard, stay focused and is determined enough to follow his vision.
If you are wishing to start your on-line marketing business, remember that luck is not a strong foundation to build upon. You might receive e-mails telling you how lucky you are to find this 'great business opportunity' or that 'you can be part of the gold-rush' or whatever, but keep in mind, that the once who earned the big bugs were usually not the diggers!
Decide for yourself if you rather dig for the rest of your live chasing a dream or if you set up a solid foundation and start your business now.
